The words that we speak are very powerful! ❤📢🙌
“God says we should be careful about the words we speak.”
I have learned that the words we speak can either tear down or build up our lives. A simple smile or a kind word can make someone’s day. So many people are dealing with so many things that are causing them to not be happy with their lives. Because people are not happy, they can cause others to feel miserable as well with their words. Have you ever been somewhere and all of a sudden the person next to you said something really rude and disrespectful? I remember asking God the reason why people can be so cruel with their words. He told me it’s because of what's going on in their hearts. The Bible says that the issues of life come from the heart. Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life Proverbs 4:23. If you pay close attention to this
scripture you can see that the issues that many people deal with are because of what's in their hearts. I am so glad that God revealed this revelation to me because for so long I was the kind of person that would become so easily offended.
After God revealed this truth to me, I was able to see why the person was acting this way for no reason at all. It literally shows how sometimes people have no clue what they are doing or even saying because they are stressed and frustrated with life. Something has happened to that person for them to act in an evil way. That’s why it is so important for the people of God to read, study, and apply the word of God to their lives. Because if we do it will transform our lives, guard our hearts, and our minds. The world acts a certain way because they are hurting and don’t know how to handle the things that come up in their own life. The Bible is the answer to every problem we may face.
“My heart truly aches for those that are lost in this world because of evil and corruption.”
Without God, it is impossible for that person to change. I’m sure we can all agree at one point in our lives we were an enemy of God. When we used to treat everyone the way we felt out of our frustrations and lack of identity in Christ. And although you were at one time estranged and alienated and hostile-minded [toward Him], participating in evil things Colossians 1:21.Thank God for what he did for us while we were, yet sinners Jesus Christ died for us so that we could really live in a life of freedom from bondages and words that can cause us to feel defeated in life. God recently corrected me and sometimes I even have to remind myself that the words I speak can literally change my mindset. That’s how powerful our words are. God had to correct me on not speaking words that would cause me to feel a negative way. One of those words that I constantly would say in the past was “I’m tired” of this or that. I noticed that the more I would say I’m tired the more tired I would feel. I would start to feel completely negative every time I said that word. So God is teaching me even now to say what the bible says which is speaking life's words. So instead of saying that I am tired. I am starting to say that I might feel tired, but through Christ, I can do all things in him that strengthens me to do whatever I need to do for that day. Let me tell you since I have started saying that I am no longer tired I can feel so much strength from the holy spirit to get things done. It’s the most amazing thing ever. By the end of each day, I would have cleaned, cooked, worked, done homework, and spent time with my family before the day was over. Do you see how powerful our words can be? I believe this is why God wants us to get the word of God on our minds because whatever we think about that is what we will become. Isn't that amazing that our minds are created to do exactly what we think about all of the time? One of my favorite scriptures that I think about on a daily basis is Psalms 1:2-3 which says but his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity]. In other words, when we get the word of God in our minds and in our hearts, we begin to act on it.
“The words we speak will be good and edifying. I have simply learned to speak what God says about my situation.”
If I am dealing with some issue in my life I will go to the word and see what the word of God says about it and based on the word, I will say exactly what it says. When I start speaking what the word of God says I am speaking God’s power and words of life into my situation. Our minds are programmed to believe exactly what we hear. The Bible also says that the power of life and death is in the tongue. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words Proverbs 18:21. If we speak words that are negative and not good, we are speaking words of death into our situations.
The enemy is behind everything that usually happens to us negatively wise. His job is to make us miserable by believing every lie spoken against us. God had to teach me not to receive any negative words that anyone would say about me because it would cause me to think negatively about myself, situations, and that person. Have you ever thought a negative thought about yourself? It’s not hard to do if you pay attention to the way you feel once you begin to believe that lie. You will start to feel so bad and have such a negative attitude about everything. How we view ourselves is very important and when we don’t know what God has equipped us with we will become something that we were never meant to be. When we start to speak what God's word says about who we truly are in our real identity we will discover that a lot of things that we did while we were in sin were never something that we were created to do.
“We were created to be like Christ in thought, word, and actions.”
If we ever take the time to study Jesus's life, he was truly a great teacher of the gospel he taught how we need to live our lives and that it was possible for us to change, love God, and love people for real. We were to live righteous lives and be in the right standing with God so that our prayers would be effective. So that we could be an example of a transformed life. So we would know that God is working in our lives and changing things for our own good. You truly have to develop your own personal relationship with God to truly walk in the power that he desires to show us through our words. In the morning when I wake up I say good things no matter how I feel. I sit, worship, and spend time with the lord to help me keep a positive mind. Because I know that if I keep my mind on God and his word it will keep me in perfect peace. So I encourage you today to only speak good and edifying things to people, as well to yourself, and God. Strive to build in a relationship with God so that you can discover your identity in Christ and learn about God’s true character so that he can help you speak good words and think good thoughts daily.
As always when I publish a new blog, I feel led to pray for anyone that is struggling to think positive thoughts so that they would have a strong desire to want to read and study the word of God in the bible if they don’t have a bible that they would get one and read it with the understanding that you will provide for them. That they would be filled with your righteousness and live in abundance through your word. They would prosper in health, strength, and in their behavior, as well as their character to be more like you in Jesus's name I pray Amen! A scripture that I would like you to think about is Proverbs 13:6 which reads. Righteousness (being in right standing with God) guards the one whose way is blameless, but wickedness undermines and overthrows the sinner. I pray that you were encouraged by this blog until next month.
