Spiritual gifts come from God

When I think about how good God is it makes me think about the gifts that he has

given all those that have chosen to follow his ways.

There are so many gifts that God has given us and they can be natural gifts or spiritual gifts, but I will only focus on the spiritual gifts in this post. One thing I want you to think about is that God is so big in his thinking!!! Think about how he has created every human being and living thing including this earth and heaven. God thinks BIG and he doesn’t do anything that will lead to lack or does anything without a purpose. When he gave us gifts he wanted us to do something with the gifts he gave us. There is a scripture in the bible where he tells a story about the three men with talents. He gave one five and the other he gave two and the other he gave one and expected them to do something with the help of the holy spirit. In learning about how God had these 3 men on an assignment to fulfill their purpose you find out that 2 did something with those talents and increased abundantly, but the one that disobeyed God was left out and punished. So you see how important it is for us to discover our gifts in God's Kingdom. The question we have to ask is why were the two so successful, but the one men was unsuccessful? I think one reason could be because of disobedience. Which leads me to talk about the very amazing thing that enables the gifts to be discovered and accomplished in the earth! This very amazing thing is the holy spirit and we need the holy spirit to help us be obedient.

"One thing I have learned is that when it comes to the spiritual gifts that God gives each of us we can’t do anything apart from his spirit. "

When we try to do things apart from his spirit we won’t accomplish much without the help of the holy spirit. Now I know you're probably thinking, what is the holy spirit? The holy spirit is God working on the inside of you. When Jesus died on the cross the bible says that he left the holy spirit to teach us and convict us of all things John 14:26. Want to know something amazing about God? When you accept Jesus into your heart as lord and savior from believing the scripture Romans 10:9 the holy spirit comes to live inside your spirit. Just from a simple confession and faith to believe that Jesus rose from the dead after he died on the cross can allow the holy spirit to come to live on the inside of you is by far the most amazing thing. It’s truly something only God can do. Remember when I said that God is a big thinker this proves that he is a mighty thinker. As a matter of fact he is a creator only God could think of something as amazing as the work of the holy spirit. If you are saved I want you to know that he is living inside you and is working so many things out for your good. If you are not saved and you are wondering how this could be possible my advice to you is to accept God as your personal savior and he will do the rest. God has a way of revealing things through the holy spirit and the holy spirit will remind you of all things.

First in foremost, spiritual gifts come from God and he is the only one who gives them to whomever he chooses. From studying God's word I have learned that there are different types of gifts in God’s Kingdom. There is not a certain order that these gifts come in and the interesting thing about these amazing gifts is that God gives them to the person for the purpose of edifying God’s Kingdom. So to name them all that the bible refers to is the gifts to speak the message of wisdom, the power to express the word of knowledge and understanding, extraordinary faith, healings, working of miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirits, various kinds of unknown tongues. The fact that God empowers every gift is mind-blowing and in order for you to experience this truth you have to know the lord for yourself. He is an awesome creator and knows why he does what he feels is necessary for every believer. I pray that after you read this you will think about spiritual gifts because it is helpful to so many people that haven’t come into the knowledge of God's existence.
