Love brings correction in God’s Kingdom!!!

Did you know that God corrects us as his children? I have experienced this from building a closer relationship with God! I would try to do so many things my way because of selfishness.

Selfishness as we know is not what God wants us to display as his character. We must remember that God lives on the inside of every believer who has accepted him into their hearts. In the bible Romans 10:9 reads that if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

“I am beyond grateful for this truth. I remember accepting Christ into my heart at a young age.”

I think I was 20 years old as the lord is bringing it back to my remembrance. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was invited to church by my soon-to-be husband's parents at the time we were just still searching for truth and love. They were both so sweet in asking me if I wanted to go to church with them. I was so excited to go to church for some reason and my lifestyle wasn’t where I needed to be at the time.

I stood at the front of the church pouring out my heart to the church that I had nothing, but a couple of totes full of clothes. It was a beautiful moment because after the lady pastor finished preaching, I was sold and something inside me made me want to live for God. I stood up when asked if anyone wanted to accept the lord as lord and savior. It was like a movie scene. I came to the front of the church and noticed that my name was displayed on a screen that I had accepted Christ. I had this amazing feeling that my life would change forever, and I was right. Looking back, I would never want to change my mind about living for God.

“Yes, I have made a lot of decisions that weren't pleasing to God, but God corrected my wrongs.”

Then he loved me all over again back to right standing with him. He literally changed me from the inside out which is why I can sit here and write about how God can change you and correct your wrongs. So many things can easily take you down the wrong path that Jesus never intended from the beginning. This is why it is so important to develop your relationship with God. Now I know you think that sounds amazing right, but how do I build a personal relationship with God? The truth is there is no right way to spend time with God, except that you have to make time to spend quality time with him. It’s the same when we make time for our family and friends. If we want to build that relationship, we have to put forth that time. There is absolutely no other way you can do it without making time.

“The Bible states that time was given to us as human beings, God doesn’t need time we do. 'And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth days. Genesis 1:14-19.”

I know you're thinking wow that is amazing. I have learned that God will chastise us as believers and especially as we grow closer to him. See God knows what's in our hearts. The Bible says that our hearts are desperately evil and it's dangerous to give into the heart. We have to learn to be self-disciplined and crucify our flesh daily. When we do this God can help us to be more like him. So many of us get in a rush to do things, but I have learned that it's important to wait on God. There are so many benefits to waiting on God. According to Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired. It's always a great idea to wait on God. I had to learn this lesson because I would easily become anxious and want to do many things. I didn't know that it was okay to slow down and take my time completing a project. I would start something and stop so many times. I asked the lord why this kept happening. He showed me that I never stopped to plan what needed to be done. I would just do without planning.

“One thing about God is that he plans our lives even before we start because he wants us to walk into the many blessings, he has for us individually.”

God has to teach us how to appreciate blessings even before we receive them.

I don't know about you, but I thank God that he works with us to live this life the way he planned. Of course, the only way we will ever discover his plan in our lives is by developing a relationship with God. He already knows so many things about us. You might as well just choose his way instead.
