How to Hear the Voice of God! 🙏❤💕
How to Hear the Voice of God!
One amazing thing I have learned is how to hear the voice of God. God desires for you and me to hear him speaking to us. I have found out through developing my relationship with God that he is always speaking to us in many different ways. One of the ways that God speaks to us is through our very own spirits. Because God is a spirit we have to be willing to listen for him speaking to us. I love how when God is speaking to me I just get this strong feeling of knowing that God has something to tell me. The most important way for us to hear God speaking is to be quiet and listen to his voice.
We must understand that God will never share anything that is not according to his word. I’ve learned that the word of God which is the Bible teaches that God’s thoughts are written in it. So we must read the bible to get to know God for ourselves. We can’t learn to hear God’s voice through someone else's relationship with God. In the Bible it says in John 10:27 that the sheep that are my own hear my voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow me. This scripture is truly explaining how the only way we can hear God is through getting to know God for ourselves. We have to belong to God and listen when he is speaking. The best way to hear God’s voice is to make time for him. Set some time aside of your day to get before God however you choose. I like to turn on worship music and get my bible, notebook, and read devotionals to set the atmosphere for God’s presence. Get off of social media and all other devices and begin worshiping and praying to him. It will set the mood for you to be open to hear God and listen to him. God truly cares about us! The more we pray and surrender our lives to him the more we can hear him more clearly. In Numbers 9:8 the bible talks about how we can hear God through waiting. Therefore, Moses said to them, “Wait, and listen to what the Lord will command concerning you.” This scripture is so powerful because it shows how we as believers of God need to wait to hear God speaking. Being anxious can stop us from hearing the voice of God for ourselves. So it is important to stop and get our thoughts together and focus on Jesus. We live in such a fast-paced world that everyone is so quick to get to different places. We get so in a rush and are so busy with life. That we forget to slow down. I am so surprised to find out how many people struggle with being anxious. I used to think this way all of the time and not even realize that I was doing too much too fast. When I got sick last year God taught me the importance of slowing down. It was so interesting that I had been listening to so many voices and questioning the real true voice of God. If we go and study 1 Samuel 3 we can get a better understanding of how to hear God's voice! We have to remove distractions and allow God to speak freely. God has much to say to us as people of God. He wants us to get to know him for ourselves. It is the only way we can truly learn how to hear the voice of God for ourselves. We must do like the scripture says James 1:19 AMP
[19] Understand this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Let everyone be quick to hear [be a careful, thoughtful listener], slow to speak [a speaker of carefully chosen words and], slow to anger [patient, reflective, forgiving]. There is a reason why we have to listen to God. He wants to help us in everything we do. God had taught me a powerful lesson when it comes to hearing his voice. Last year I was on a path that God never intended because of deception from the enemy. I asked God many times how I ended up in such a hard backsliding state and I wasn't trying to be. He revealed to me that it was because I didn't truly understand my true identity in Christ. He had to correct me and set me on the right path with him again. I had gotten so impatient with God so I put the carriage before the horse. So you can imagine how silly that was of me. I kept hearing God tell me to slow down and stop trying to figure everything out on my own. I was a broken woman searching for answers. God kept trying to get my attention, but the more I tried to do everything on my own the voices I allowed to speak in my ears got louder the more I became more confused.
Based on the bible God is not the author of confusion. So if we are confused for any reason that is a sign to stop, think, and pray. Then I made the mistake of constantly going to everyone for prayer. I felt like for some reason my prayers didn't matter or God wouldn't hear my prayers. So why pray to God myself? The only times I would try to pray to God was when things got so bad in my life. I think we all can agree that we have at one point in our lives been there. This scripture blessed me so much Proverbs 10:17 AMP [17] He who learns from instruction and correction is on the [right] path of life [and for others his example is a path toward wisdom and blessing], But he who ignores and refuses correction goes off course [and for others his example is a path toward sin and ruin]. God had no choice but to get my attention when I was headed down the wrong path. The way that he did it was rough. If you have heard my testimony you can truly understand where I am coming from. I used to look at correction as something that God wouldn't do, but after that experience I had with God I know for a fact that God will correct us if we are not listening. Once I had finally taken heed to the correction, I repented and allowed God to help and cleanse me again. That was when I could truly hear God again. God will speak to us because he loves us and he wants to direct our path. It's important to listen to the voice of God. Many times God's voice will save a person written in the Bible. For example, when God spoke to Mary and Joseph they were going down the wrong path, but God sent an angel of the Lord to tell them to go another way because danger is the other way. Matthew 2:13 AMP
[13] Now when they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod intends to search for the Child in order to destroy Him.” We can avoid many things when we learn to hear God for ourselves. God has done a great thing for us through faith we can learn to hear God's voice. Hebrews 11:6-11 AMP
[6] But without faith, it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. [7] By faith [with confidence in God and His word] Noah, being warned by God about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family. By this [act of obedience] he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith. [8] By faith Abraham, when he was called [by God], obeyed by going to a place which he was to receive as an inheritance; and he went, not knowing where he was going. [9] By faith he lived as a foreigner in the promised land, as in a strange land, living in tents [as nomads] with Isaac and Jacob, who were fellow heirs of the same promise. [10] For he was [waiting expectantly and confidently] looking forward to the city which has foundations, [an eternal, heavenly city] whose architect and builder is God. [11] By faith, even Sarah herself received the ability to conceive [a child], even [when she was long] past the normal age for it, because she considered Him who had given her the promise to be reliable and true [to His word]. I shared a lot more scriptures with you in this blog because I wanted you to see the true revelation of what God has done for us. Prayer is communication to God so when we pray we can expect God to speak back to us. At this moment I feel led to pray for those that are struggling to hear God for themselves. Father God in the name of Jesus the person that is reading this blog wasn't by chance you wanted them to listen. Those that may be headed down the wrong path Lord I pray that you would set them free through correction and help them repent so that they can truly come into right standing with you to hear your voice. I know that you have so many things to say to them concerning their very own lives. Help them to slow down and make time for you. Get before you and pray whatever is on their hearts and minds. You tell us to cast all of our cares on you because you care for us. Father I believe today that you will help them to get close to you in Jesus' name I pray Amen. So far this is what God has given me to share with you today. If you have been blessed by the blog please leave a comment or share with others. I am so grateful that you are enjoying being a part of KPD Ministry. Love you all. Have a wonderful day!
God is so good! Amen. ❤
